A campervan is one of the larger purchases you'll make. We want the process to feel as considered as the van itself. Here's what working with Roamer Vans looks like — start to finish
Every build starts with a call or an in-person meeting. We want to understand how you travel, what you need day-to-day, and what you're working with — whether that's a van you already own or one you're still sourcing. We'll provide our perspective on whether a Signature Series or Reserve Series build is the better fit.
We'll also share our honest take on what we think will actually serve you — based on how people genuinely use their vans, not just how they imagine they will. A lot of early conversations involve requirements built around edge cases: scenarios that feel important in planning but rarely come up on the road. Left unchecked, those decisions often compromise the things that matter every single day. We'd rather surface that early than design around it.
There's no cost or commitment at this stage.
A $10,000 deposit holds your start date and kicks off the design phase. It's applied in full toward your build total — not a fee.
Reserve Series — before the deposit
Before any commitment, we develop a concept layout and initial rendering for you to react to. If the direction feels right, we'll collect your deposit and start detailed design for your build.
Every detail — functionality, finishes, add-ons — is finalised before anything is ordered. Nothing is built until everything is confirmed and a service agreement is in place.
How this differs by series
A focused process of confirming your layout choice, finishes, and any add-ons. Efficient and straightforward — the foundational decisions have already been made.
A more iterative process with multiple working sessions to develop the layout from the ground up. Nothing is ordered or built until the design is signed off.
Your build starts on the reserved date. We'll keep you updated with regular bi-weekly status updates and progress pictures throughout; studio visits are available by appointment.
All core systems are tested multiple times and all cabinetry, finishes, and fittings are inspected against the original design. A series of test drives identifies any adjustments needed before systems are retested and signed off.
A 90-minute walkthrough covers everything before you take the keys — systems, storage, maintenance, and anything specific to your build. You leave knowing exactly how it works.
Every build is covered by a 1-year / 12,000-mile warranty on our workmanship and interior build from the day you drive away. Appliances and systems carry their own manufacturer warranties.

Build start50% of the conversion fee is due on your build start date, less the deposit already paid.

Midpoint25% is due at the project midpoint, as confirmed by your project timeline.

CompletionThe final 25% is due once the build is complete and ready for collection.
The same payment structure applies to both Signature Series and Reserve Series builds. Full pricing is provided as part of your service agreement.
