THE BRIEF

A full-time home for cross-country travel

Deceptively simple - a van for one person to live in full-time, with the goal of travelling to see loved ones across the US. A considered, practical interior to help keep routine tasks easy.

The design challenge: incorporating enough storage and closet space for full-time van life while still keeping the interior bright, open and uncluttered; dedicated storage for a road-bike without a gear garage to keep the aisle open and the interior airy; and a bench seat that could function as a bed without being converted but have the ability to pull out when needed.

LONG, DOUBLE DUTY BENCH SEATING

Spacious, comfortable bench seat with integrated stroage opposite the sliding door for scenic views; can function as a full-length bed for one without needing to be converted, but can be extended to sleep two.

Robust electrical system

Sizeable power system with dual 5kWh batteries for long stretches between charging stations, backed by solar and alternator charging

Integrated bike storage

Dedicated, easy-access pull-out bike tray to store a road bike without sacrificing the open aisle space for a permanent gear garage.
